HiBs in Concert, February 11
"Love loves to love love." - James Joyce, Ulysses
Bring your sweetie(s) or just your sweet-self for a "hearty" pre-Valentine concert with the HiBs. The HiBs play Irish traditional music that is joyfully energetic and masterfully presented. Join Kate Dowling on flute and whistle, Jode Dowling on fiddle and Patsy O'Brien on guitar and vocals for a night of traditional music, story, and celebration. Kate and Jode Dowling are the founders of the Center for Irish Music, Patsy an engaging guitarist, singer and songwriter from Co. Cork.
This promises to be a special night for all - young, old, single, separated, and settled-down. Whether your love is legendary like that of Diarmuid and Grainne, or more like that of Sean Thornton and Mary Kate Danacher (from The Quiet Man, of course) all will have any enjoyable night. This is an excellent chance to spend time with your loved one(s) and hear fabulous traditional Irish music by the happiest Twin Cities traditional Irish trio. Special ticket pricing and Valentine-themed concessions.
