Celebrating Celtic Junction Arts Center's win as
2018's Best Irish Cultural Center in North America

Justin Dolan, Vice Consul, from the Consulate General of Ireland-Chicago will be the keynote speaker and there will be music from the the Center for Irish Music!

On February 2nd, 2018 IrishCentral held their inaugural Arts and Creativity Awards at the American Irish Historical Society on 5th Avenue in New York’s Museum Mile, celebrating the excellence and innovation of the Irish creative community in America. Irish Minister for the Diaspora Ciarán Cannon was the Guest of Honor.

Celtic Junction Arts Center’s Executive Director Natalie Nugent O’Shea attended the event and received the award presented by Minister Cannon. CJAC is one of seven winners from forty-four creative Irish leaders who were nominated across eight categories: Winner, Irish Community Centers and Festivals: The Celtic Junction Arts Center and Eoin McKiernan Library, Minnesota; Winner, Media and Innovation: Nigel Eccles - Founder FanDuel and Entrepreneur; Winner, Fashion and Design: Margaret Molloy – #WearingIrish; Winner, The Screen: ‘Emerald City’- Colin Broderick; Winner, The Stage: Crackskull Row – Origin's 1st Irish Theatre Festival; Winner, Voice of Today: Shannon Downey - Badass Cross Stitch; Winner, Visual Arts: ‘Spitting Image’ series - Eva O’Leary (Photographer).

Celtic Junction Arts Center was established by original Riverdance dancer and Dublin native Cormac O’Se and theater producer and director, Natalie Nugent O’Shea. The performance venue and educational facility, located in the Midway neighborhood in Saint Paul at 836 Prior Ave North 55104, is permanent home to O'Shea Irish Dance, Center for Irish Music, and the Irish Fair of Minnesota, hosts events with the Irish Music and Dance Association, the Irish Genealogical Society and is the inaugural venue for Minnesota Family Fringe Festival. For nine years, Celtic Junction has produced concerts, hosted master artists, and has been the base to Minnesota’s thriving Irish Cultural scene. At their site in St. Paul Midway’s Creative Enterprise Zone, across from Can Can Wonderland and Blackstack Brewery, find classes in Irish step and ceili dance, music, Irish language, history, literature, mythology, tap and more.
