Brían Ó hAirt was first exposted to sean-nós dancing as a teen at workshops taught by Róisín Ní Mhainín at the Milwaukee Irish Festival. In 2003, he was a prizewinner at the Cruinniú na mBád Festival's sean-nós dancing competition held annually in Kinvara, Co. Galway where he was introduced to dancer Padraig O'hOibicn. He has since worked with and been inspired by Padraig's unique dancing, while Brian's own dancing remains very much informed by his music making on box and concertina.
Brian tours and dances with his award winning ensemble Bua and has lead workshops in sean-nos dance at many prestigous festivals across North America.
