Guitar players can create tremendous energy and flow with the rhythms they strum when they accompany singers and tune players. Workshop: Songs from the MN Folksong Collection, Jan 22

This is a free workshop on traditional folk songs that were collected in northern Minnesota. The songs will be drawn from the previously unpublished field recordings that are now available online via the Minnesota Folksong Collection website. Lyric sheets provided. Please feel free to bring recording devices as well.

Another year for our family oriented Burns Night. Social starts at 6:30 pm with a cash bar and light tea and shortbread. The MN Scottish Fair will have meat pies to purchase. The entertainment starts out with the traditional toasts then on the Highland and Country dancing followed by the ever popular ceilidh dancing. Featuring the band Dalwinnie, Macalester Pipeband, MSCDA and RSCDS dancers.
