Hermitage Green came together as a band in 2010 as a result of a spontaneous jam session between friends in Limerick. Accomplished musicians and atheletes, one gets the impression they'd excel at whatever they put their minds to.

Writing together and combining the creative forces of their varied musical backgrounds, they showcase their ability to write stadium-worthy riotous songs, while also delivering heartfelt and poetic ballads, made all the more stunning by the power of their four-part harmonies.

Hermitage Green have built a dedicated legion of fans across the globe thanks to their captivating and unforgettable live sets, playing gigs in South Africa, Australia, New York, Canada, Dubai, France and London.

Their unique arrangement of instruments that includes the bodhrán, djembe, rhythmic guitar and banjo sets them apart as a truly original offering of Irish Music. They have already played alongside the likes of Gavin James, Josh Ritter, Walking On Cars and The Pogues.

"The Limerick based 5 piece have gone from Strength to strength since their decision to go full time, back in 2013. Starting out as a folk outfit at jamming sessions in a Limerick City bar and evolving since to incorporate more pop and rock elements albeit while still using a lot of traditional folk instrumentation, Hermitage Green are building up quite a following.

Standing room is at a premium when the show starts and the die-hards have long since made their way to centre stage. The band open up with a quiet version of ‘Not Your Lover’ and ease into proceedings with some slower numbers, before stopping to introduce themselves to their adoring, Cork crowd. The tempo increases soon after this with ‘Quicksand’, which was excellent. Other standout tracks were ‘Gibson’, ‘Make It Better’ and ‘Golden Rule’ but the clear crowd favourite was hit single ‘Jenny’." - Cork's RED FM
